After three unforgettable years in Bolinas, Julia Adam Dance has found a new home at Tara Firma Farms—VI (Sixes & Sevens: Part One) marks the inaugural performance at this stunning new location. With its deep commitment to environmental stewardship, regenerative agriculture, and its designation as a carbon farm, Tara Firma offers more than just a setting—it offers a kindred spirit. It is a place where the values of care, connection, and sustainability echo the heart of our gathering.
Each evening begins with a multi-course, family-style Farm Table feast, crafted from the vibrant bounty of Sonoma and Marin Counties. With ingredients transparently sourced from the land and its stewards, the meal is a celebration of place and season. Chef Matt Roberts returns to lead a diverse, inspired team of chefs through this six-night culinary journey. Local purveyors include Tara Firma Farms, Green String Farm, Sweet Grass, True Grass Farms, and HolisticAg Beef. The feast is paired with wines from Enkidu, craft beers from Hen House and Lagunitas, and thoughtfully made, non-alcoholic libations—each sip and bite a tribute to the region’s abundance.
Once more, Julia gathers a constellation of world-class artists to honor the land with an evening of movement, meaning, and memory. This year’s theme, “Sixes and Sevens,” borrows from the old idiom—a phrase for disarray and inner tumult—mirroring the unease we may feel when we gaze upon the world as it is. VI (Sixes & Sevens: Part One) is the sixth chapter in Julia Adam Dance’s evolving series, a ritual of art, community, nourishment, and nature—woven together to awaken the quiet wisdom that binds us all.
