Julia Adam Dance presents Age of Entitlement, the second chapter in the Sixes and Sevens series, which began with its premiere in July 2019. Age of Entitlement marks JAD’s first foray into dance film, debuting in October 2021. Created in response to the challenges of the global pandemic, the work emerged as a bold reimagining—art made accessible in a time of distance, when connection and creativity were needed most.

  • Age of Entitlement is a response to the moment—capturing what it means to keep going, to keep creating, and to stay grounded during a time when so much felt out of control.

  • The project turned confinement into a creative opportunity. Through choreography, the dancers processed change, uncertainty, and the challenges of the pandemic in real time.

  • With safety in mind, the cast and crew worked in small pods, adapting traditional stage work into a cinematic experience that honored both artistry and precaution.

  • Julia, her dancers, and the film team worked closely to translate live performance into a visual narrative—blending movement and camera work to create an experience both intimate and expansive.
